Colonel Evans Carlson, USMC, Carlson's Raiders in WW2 -- Signed Letter

11702 Carlson, Evans F. Letter to George E. Outland. Fair with much edge wear and creasing on the right margin, a date stamp and a hole left when a staple was removed. 8 x 10.5 inches, this 1946 typed letter, signed by Carlson, to Mr. Outland, references Carlson's recent heart attack and political developments in the California Democratic Party. Carlson was a USMC ( United States Marine Corps ) Colonel in WW2, head of Carlson's Raiders. Included is a copy of a letter Outland sent encouraging Carlson to run for Senator. Also included is a newspaper clipping of Carlson, Outland and Ed V. Izak as well as a telegram Carlson sent to Outland about Carlson's heart attack. The telegram has some tears. $300
