Description:Good to very good, light shelf wear and scuffing on the covers and spine, a small white spot on the top front edge of the front cover. Previous owner's small label inside. Fold out map has a 5 inch taped area, from the edge, in..also has a 4 inch by 1/4 inch area of chipping on one edge, some creasing. The protective tissue over one illustration is missing. The pages show occasional acid stain marks and light creasing. Back paste down soiled. No dust jacket. 1855 hardback in full leather, with a fold out map, many illustrations, 824 pages and an index.
